Update

Finals are almost over, and it has been a fast paced and hectic week.  I'm excited to head to Israel and other countries soon.  I will be writing on the blog as I have time while I am there.  Maybe I'll even post pictures.

Although this month has been busy, it's been a great month.  I feel very content, and I am excited about the future.

I've made a lot of really cool friendships this semester, so I'm very excited about how those are changing me and growing me.  It's going to be a good summer to look forward to.

Far too tired.

I slept for 12 hours last night, and I didn't do any homework.  I washed some clothes this morning, and I sang my song with my duet partner.  I drove around for 30 minutes trying to find a parking spot, and then I sat through a 1 1/2 hr meeting going over nothing for a business class.  I'm at that point where whatever I get done during the day is what gets done, and I'm not trying for anything over that.  When I go to sleep is when I go to sleep, and if something doesn't happen, it may have to wait until tomorrow.  If there is a deadline, it is now a suggestion, and it may not actually happen by that date and time.  It may cost money, grades, and more time in the future, but I am just not motivated.

Here is the issue - I'm normally motivated by success, but these days, success is just out of my control.  There are so many variables in so many circumstances that I do not have control over.  I'm praying that the Lord will motivate me for the right reasons because for now, I'm just doing the routine - at least for this week.

Hats off to Brotherly Love

Today was one of those days that was tiring and wears on you fast.  Kevin and I got a good amount of work done, and I feel somewhat satisfied with our accomplishments, but our moods were never lifted by the excitement of something great.  In addition, I see many daunting tasks on the horizon, that I am hoping I can make go away.  All the worries of the day start to combine and create stress.

I'm stressed, but I don't have a lot of things due at this very moment in time, so I was talking to Ryan, in Kentucky.  We talked for a little less than an hour and a half.  What an encouraging experience!  We discussed struggles, caught up, and just had a good time.  He was an amazing encouragement to me.  At the end, we prayed for each other.  My mind was far from wanting to pray a heartfelt prayer after such an exhausting day, but for some reason, the things I said were the most sincere things I have said in a while.  I really didn't want to stop praying either; it was a great time of a united friendship coming before the Lord and worshipping Him.  Praise God for allowing us to worship Him, for saving us, and for giving us a desire to pursue holiness and love him more.  That makes today a good day.

Presentations

It will become obvious at around 10:15 tomorrow morning that either I am a mastermind at getting things done at the last minute or that I never prepared for my presentations.  After printing a few wiki articles, I am calling it a night and switching to my greater passion - creating marketing material.  I love designing the next postcard, brochure, sticker, or magnet.  So - see you later schoolwork - I'm doing really work today.

Today was a really great day.  I love taking Sundays to just contemplate, live in the country, and pretend that the real world doesn't exist.  It was definitely one of those days.  Thank God.  I'm looking forward to some great lunch meetings and times with people.  I pray that I would love the Lord more this week, and work hard for His glory.  This week will be fun, but tough.  Until next time.

Productivity on the rise

So I'm at Parish Memorial. I just finished a few more things on my list - an Operations Management quiz, reading up on IRS changes, finding a good fish sauce recipe, checking facebook, and looking into a Theatre Minor.

I'm excited because I just added up all of my remaining coursework in Anderson plus the extra courses I want to take (Hotel and Restaurant Mangement, International Entrepreneurship, etc.) and I found out that I can get my minor in Theatre as well as finish everything else in exactly 4 more semester. I was ahead by one semester, but I decided that it is worth getting the minor to stay one more semester!! Isn't that great?! As far as I can tell, I shouldn't have to take any summer classes or stay past May 2012, but I can get everything done that I want to do!

I'm off to home now to clean out my car, make some lunches, and plan out my next goal to conquer.

I just love productivity!!

Energy

I'm running full throttle right now. Between getting class assignments done, making things for friends, answering emails, taking phone calls, and talking to colleagues, my energy seems to increase the more that gets accomplished.

I am so thankful for my awesome life. Here are just a few things that I really like about life:

I love my church! I love how the body functions as a body. I love how close everyone is, and how involved everyone is in each other's life. I appreciate the love and unity between us. Praise the Lord for His work among us!

I really like my work! Real estate is so thrilling. It's hard on some days, but overall, it's an exciting, challenging, and constantly changing business. I really like our advertising campaign. It takes a lot of time to develop it all but it's cool, edgy, different, and hopefully effective! I love my business partner. Kevin is a really cool guy! He's smart, creative, and efficient. He definitely keeps me on my toes! (:

I like school. I'm finally in classes that make sense and are contributory to my life. Also, by some grace of God, I am doing well in most of them! Yay!!

Long story short. Life is good, and even if everything didn't feel pretty comfy, I'm still very joyful because of how the Lord is working in my life. That's a fun place to be.
